A Persons View
How many of us have taken the time to try and look at things through another persons point of view. IT can be hard at times. After all how do we know if we actually achieve it?
I was talking with a person the other day and realized he couldn't understand what I was saying. I attempted to slow down and catch the moment. We talked a little more and we began to communicate much better. I was able to get him to think about how all the worlds troubles were caused by men and their minds. He paused and you could see he had never thought about what I had told him. I listened to him so I might understand his thoughts. He apparently was wrapped into a material world point of view and had never really concidered any other possibilities. Maybe there was more to our existence then what we thought as children.
Our world is in for a huge violent conflict in the near future I believe. It stems from the beginning of time. Ideological beliefs that we have killed each other over since man walked the earth. It is sad that we never seem to figure out any other way to express our point of view. The world has become a small place with the Internet. Violent civilizations have the ability to interact and wage war in a whole new way. This has gone on since Kane killed Able. Jealousy over belongings, and our chosen mates, has been a source of conflict but the number one reason is religion. If you have strong religious beliefs you are more likely to defend your ground than if you are void of commitment. I have my beliefs. For the sake of open thought I wont state mine here.
Look at the news. People are engaged in violent acts of terror and shootings and beheadings and on and on.... All of this is from a persons point of view. People that refuse to see things through another persons view and are willing to kill you rather than adjust their thinking. A point of view that ends in violence. What is your point of view?
